Book Design

Whether it is just a few pages of words and illustrations, or an 80,000 word novel, the design and layout of a book for publishing is a daunting task and not one to be take on lightly.

When I was first asked to do this seriously - for Michael Starkey's first book of Ramsey Scenes - it took me a very long time to get it right and some of the lessons learned were hard to bear.

Each subsequent project has been easier to manage, but some of the more recent ones have been bigger and more complex than ever. I like to think that I now have the experience to offer my support to others who may need help and guidance.

Publishing

In the last 20 years or so, publishing has become easier than ever and the rise of on-demand self-publishing services has made the process easier than ever before.

I've published several books through Blurb.com and two longer, text heavy books using lulu.com and am happy to offer advice and support for both platforms.

I've also helped to publish several books locally, including dealing with Nielsen for the registration and use of ISBN numbers.

Why not get in touch if you want some advice about getting your work published. I'll be happy to help to whatever degree you require.
