BirdLister
If you are a keen bird-watcher, you will no doubt
have some way of keeping records of sightings and the
species that you have seen. Indeed, there are already a
number of packages available for varisous platforms that
can help you to do this. (We already have listers for a
number of countries for Android.)
BirdLister is a powerful, modern, extensible list
manager for Desktop computers. Written primarily in
Java using B4J, it is currently available for Microsoft Windows
computers, but will be made available for Apple and
Linux systems in the future - it already works on these
systems, but we don't have the system access needed to
properly package them yet.
BirdLister offers a wide range of features and
functions for the keen birder, some of these include:
- Downloadable lists for countries and regions
- Unlimited sightings per species
- Unlimited images per species
- Comprehensive statistics on each region/country
- Google Maps Views
